My kids at school told me I was a Grandma and needed a husband!
So my kids at school already call me grandma because I told them I was quilting over spring break. Well they laughed when I brought my coupon binder to school ( It was a make up day and I only had bout 3 or 4 kids each period out of about 30 ) and cut out coupons out of the All you magazine that came out Friday. They were shocked-several of them took a picture of it and MMS'd it to their mom's. Some said "Cool- you and my mom would be best friends- she loves coupons", another told me she was going to give me coupons as an end of the year present ( I got really excited) and one of my girls in 3rd period told me it was "sad"- which is a little funny since her mom is a teacher and co-worker of mine and ALOT of teachers are very conscious about money. They told me I needed to find me a husband because I obviously had too much time on my hands!

Finished Top of Fandango Quilt
Here's my Fandango Quilt top done. I love how the colors turned out. I'm even impressed with myself that I made a border around it. ( I had extra white and color pieces so it was pretty easy) . Notice I even have cute little corners!
Now I just have to make a back for it.
I have so many quilt tops and backs, now I just need to learn to quilt them ( or maybe my loving sister can show me how to do it on her longarm )

My cats love to quilt with me
A quilt for my Cats

My sister recently when on a quilting retreat ( and no she didn't invite me) but she did go to a new Quilt Shop in Dripping Springs Texas called Valli and Kim and found this charm pack of Dogs and Cats - I'll have to put a better picture up later- so I put them together with white fabric and did a disappearing 9 patch quilt. It came out cute. I have back and white checkered fabric for the back. My cats will love it!
4 Patch Quilt

This is my 3rd quilt I worked on. My sister was away in Japan on work for a month so I had to find something to do. So after the Wonky Square quilt was done, I decided to tackle another quilt. I figured the 9 patch quilt was too hard to I tried it with 4. I don't know that this is the correct name, but that's what i've been calling it- until I remember what the pattern is actually called. The first picture is the front of the quilt- the second on is the back of the quilt.
My Wonky Square Quilt

I loved her technique. I think this came out pretty cute for my 2nd quilt top.
