It looks better in person. I can't find my real digital camera right now so I had to use my I phone so the picture quality isn't as good.

New Wave Quilt

Here's the beginning of my New Wave Quilt from Oh Frannson. Here are the directions: Click Me. I did find that since the blocks were angled I couldn't match up corners together. I had to mark in 1/4 inch so that they would meet up. After that it was pretty easy. So far I've only gotten 2 columns done- 4 to go. It's coming out pretty cute- I'm very happy with it.

Hexagon Quilt

Here's my latest top- Hexagons. I love love love how the top turned out. Cutting the 60 degree triangles was the hardest part and arranging it. Once I got them arranged (Now I desperately know I need to create me a design wall this weekend), the sewing of the rows actually only took about 2 evenings. Now to work on the back with all the leftover strips I have

Supernova Piecing- Part 2

Here's all 9 sub- pieces . Now onto adding the next part!

Supernova Piecing- Part 1

I'm at the Quilt Ranch in Wimberley quilting for the weekend, Last night (Friday night) I got 5 of my 9 blocks done. It started slow first when I did each little part 1 at a time, but when I figured out the pattern, chain stitching them made it go alot faster.

Here's my first attempt at doing some quilting patterns. They are pretty bad. I need ALOTTTTT more practice.

My kids at school told me I was a Grandma and needed a husband!

So my kids at school already call me grandma because I told them I was quilting over spring break. Well they laughed when I brought my coupon binder to school ( It was a make up day and I only had bout 3 or 4 kids each period out of about 30 ) and cut out coupons out of the All you magazine that came out Friday. They were shocked-several of them took a picture of it and MMS'd it to their mom's. Some said "Cool- you and my mom would be best friends- she loves coupons", another told me she was going to give me coupons as an end of the year present ( I got really excited) and one of my girls in 3rd period told me it was "sad"- which is a little funny since her mom is a teacher and co-worker of mine and ALOT of teachers are very conscious about money. They told me I needed to find me a husband because I obviously had too much time on my hands!

This is my first attempt at quilting my tops with a stippling pattern. It's okay. I still have a lot of practice to go- but it's a good first attempt.

SuperNova Quilt Along Part 1

I'm a little behind, but I finally got my strips cut out and am trying to group them. I don't think this is the final arrangement. Some of them look a little weird. Any suggestions?
